The Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) has responsibility for the enforcement
of the legislation that regulates the use of specia l types vehicles
and abnormal loads on Northern Ireland's roads. If you are moving a
special types vehicle or abnormal load and you are stopped by an
enforcement officer, checks may be carried out to make sure that: adequate
marking of vehicle or load is clearly visible the right procedures have
been adhered to
